Preview: the new statics2d in 2026

Project, instant calculations, custom cross-sections, and redesigned validation.

December 5, 2025

The next generation of statics2d introduces fundamental changes to how you work with systems made of KLH® - CLT elements. Here's an overview of the key features coming this year.

The new statics2d interface with project organization, a single-span beam under distributed loads, and the node property editor.

Project

statics2d systems can now be grouped into projects. Related systems are logically linked together, and a unified sidebar displays project and system details for better overview.

This structure simplifies management of complex designs where multiple systems work together – single-span beams, continuous beams, and wall elements can be organized under one project.

Instant result calculations

Results now calculate automatically when you modify the system. Adjusting a span length, modifying a load, or changing a cross-section updates results immediately without manual recalculation.

Custom cross-sections

The new statics2d supports custom cross-sections, integrated directly into the canvas. This feature required substantial improvements to the calculation pipeline and enables modelling of non-standard cross-sections and specialized floor built-up.

Redesigned validation

Instead of blocking problematic input, a global validation system shows warnings and errors where they occur in the model. This provides full control over input while making it straightforward to identify and correct issues.

What's next

These features are coming in the new statics2d. More details on each capability will follow as we approach release.
